10 Summer Concerts You Don’t Want To Miss

Sunshine And Good Times

What do you think of when someone says ‘summer’? Sunshine, beach days and blended beverages are all acceptable answers, but you can’t forget about one summer staple – concerts. With that in mind, here are 10 great summer concerts you *need* to add to your schedule.

Bon Jovi – May 12th (Air Canada Centre)

Like a fine wine, Jon Bon Jovi has only gotten better (looking) with age. Kick off the summer concert season in style Jon Bon and the boys when they play a stop at the ACC on May 12th.

Sam Smith – June 12th (Air Canada Centre)

Is there any world problem Sam Smith’s voice can’t fix? The answer is no. I would like for him to live in my house and sing me beautiful lullabies whenever I’m having a bad day, but if I can’t seeing him at the ACC in June is the next best thing.

Bryan Adams – July 4th (Casino Rama)

Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams brings The Ultimate Tour to Rama on July 4th. Adams has more hits than most bands have albums, so this show is guaranteed to be the “ultimate” summer sing-a-long.

Sarah McLachlan – July 5th (Casino Rama)

After you’ve watched Bryan Adams on the 4th, you better stick around another day to catch another Canadian legend. Sarah McLachlan has announced that she’ll be playing at Rama on July 5th. We suggest having some tissues handy for this one.

Shania Twain – July 6th & 7th (Air Canada Centre)

Shania takes over the ACC on July 6th & 7th, so you have two chances to see the Canadian Queen of Country. Shania is touring in support of her latest album, Now, but if her Grey Cup halftime show was any indication she’s bound to break out the greatest hits on stage. Now if we could only figure out her secret to looking so freaking fantastic at 52.

Boyz II Men – July 15th (Casino Rama)

Name a more iconic 90’s RnB group. We’ll wait.

Kesha & Macklemore – July 22nd (Darien Lake)

Anybody up for a road trip? Darien Lake Amphitheatre is an awesome spot to watch a concert, plus you get theme park admission with your concert ticket purchase. Ride a few coasters, then head over to catch the show and let a perfect summer night ensue.

The Trews – August 5th (Kee To Bala)

Great Canadian band, great Canadian venue. Nothing says summer like a concert at the Kee. Added bonus – this one is on the Sunday before a holiday Monday. Winning!

Sam Roberts Band – September 1st (Kee To Bala)

Where have all the good people gone? To The Kee, to see Sam Roberts. Duh.

Niall Horan – September 5th (Budweiser Stage)

Niall brings his Flicker World Tour to Toronto on September 5th. OK, it’s not technically summer but we suggest stretching the season out by a few days and including this show. It will definitely be worth it (check out exhibit A, below)
