Happy Canada Day!
 
Join Kool Days of Summer at Promenade Days today and all weekend long as downtown Barrie comes alive with live music and entertainment. Dunlop Street is closed off to traffic for street level patios and a giant retail street market. Kids can enjoy the midway and the family fun zone at Heritage Park today and don’t miss the Canada Day cake at 6p.
 
The Bagattaway Lacrosse Festival kicks off today at Sainte Marie Among The Hurons. Where you can meet players from the NLL, learn traditional stick making, test your own skills and discover the history of Canada’s National Sport.
 
Today visitors get free entrance to Canada’s National Parks and boaters it’s free to pass through the Trent Severn Waterway today as well.
 
All Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans receive free admission to Canada’s Wonderland today through Sunday.
Starting today Barrie lifeguards are on duty patrolling both Centennial & Johnson’s Beaches daily from 11:30-5:30.
 
Canada Day Celebrations are happening at Horseshoe Resort, Hawkestone, Couchiching Park in Orillia, downtown Collingwood, Muskoka Street in Washago, Little Lake Park in Midland, Riverdale Park in Tottenham, Honey Harbour at the Park, Blue Mountain Collingwood, Gull Lake Rotary Park in Gravenhurst, the Downtown Huntsville Food & Music Festival along Main Street, in Port Sydney at Port Sydney Beach and Bracebridge along Manitoba Street this afternoon.

    Find our Kool Days of Summer crew in downtown Barrie again for Promenade Days. Barrie’s massive Street Festival along Dunlop with the giant retail market, street level patios, midway and all kinds of live music and entertainment on the stage at Heritage Park.
     
    The IBL Allstar Game goes today from Coates Stadium, home of our Barrie Baycats. The Intercounty Allstar Team squares off against the Canadian Jr National Team. 2p first pitch, kids 12 and under are free.

    In Elmvale it’s the Strut Your Vintage Festival along Main Street with antiques and vintage sidewalk sale.

    Across Lake Simcoe Georgina Rob Fest continues today from Georgina R.O.C.
     
    A few Fireworks Displays to be set off tonight through Muskoka, Over the Baysville Dam in Baysville, from Walkers Point Marina in Gravenhurst and over Big Trading Bay in Dorset.
     
    The opening green flag at Sunset Speedway, Innisfil is set to drop on a full night of racing at 6p tonight.
     

    July 3

    Last call to join our Kool Days/95 Days during Barrie’s Promenade Days Street Festival, downtown along Dunlop Street. It only happens once a year with a giant retail market, street level patios, live music and entertainment, midway and watch for the street performers too!
     
    Great chance to introduce your kids to fishing this week as Ontario Family Fishing Week is an opportunity to fish license free all week long.
     
    The Northern Ontario Regional Firefit Championship continues today at Wasaga Beach.
     
    Enjoy Music in the Park at Little Lake Park in Midland starting tonight at 6.
     
    In Thornbury Jazz By the Bay opens today, you can relax on the shores of Georgian Bay and enjoy live performances from Bayview Park.
     
    You can smell it from here, Georgina Rib Fest is serving up the best chicken and ribs with live music and a midway for the kids at the Georgina R.O.C.
