Barrie Not Most Woman-Friendly Place In Canada

Victoria on the other hand...

The best place in Canada to live if you’re a woman? Victoria B.C. says the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives based on the gaps in men’s and women’s access to economic security, personal security, education and health. Barrie was among the worst places for women, placing 16th on the list of 25 . The survey noted Barrie has one of the biggest wage gaps in the country – women earning 62 cents on the dollar compared to men. Women in Barrie are more likely to hold a high school or post-secondary degree, but the rate of educational achievement is below national average.
