Legend has it…she grew up in Midwestern Ontario in a little place called Lucknow and is currently running from the law.AGE: unknownKids: one big one (named Dale) Favourite thing: singing show tunes and messin’ with Dale Favourite bands: so many…so little time Favourite line: “got a rock n roll fever and the only cure is more cow bell”
Hi! I’m the Deb from Deb and Dale, weekday mornings on Barrie’s KOOL FM.
This crazy rock and roll radio life has taken me all over…to North Bay and the Ottawa Valley, then to Newfoundland for most of the 90’s. I found my way back to the province in 99 and spent some time in Owen Sound and more recently my vagabond ways have lead me to beautiful Barrie. (getting sick of packing and unpacking…maybe they’ll let me stay here)
Thanks for making Deb and Dale –and KOOL FM part of your daily morning routine!
DALE SMITH dalesmith@1075koolfm.com
HOMETOWN: Originally from Thunder Bay (if your car broke down on the way to Winnipeg you’d be there!)
AGE: Let’s put it this way, my birth certificate lists Fort William (pre-Thunder Bay) as my place of birth… does that help?
Favourite thing: Listening to Deb sing show tunes (Is it just me, or do they all sound like Ethel Merman?)
Favourite bands: A lot. Special mention to England Dan & John Ford Coley ‘cause “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight”.
Favourite food: Deep-fried…anything!
Hey, it’s Dale from “Deb & Dale in the Morning” on Barrie’s Kool-fm.
All right, I’ll be brief: Thunder Bay (hometown) to Toronto (Hogtown) to Detroit (Motown) to Barrie (My town). I’ve only worked at four stations and although it was fun being “Hot” in the 80’s, everybody’s “Chum” in the 90’s and just plain up “The River” after that…I can honestly say that I’m having the most fun being “Kool”. Thanks for making “Deb & Dale” part of your morning!
1075 Koolfm is partnering with First Response Ontario, to provide a safe place for children and parents to get back together, if by chance they get separated at the fair.
Pick up one of our Lost Child stickers. They will be distributed by the Box Office staff at all 3 entrances to the fair.
Whenever one of our KOOL FM Street Team members sees a child not wearing a sticker, they will provide one and explain where the children should go if they get lost.
Luv this show...
