UPDATE: Arrest After Alleged Bandit Twice Caught On Video

Different Angles, Same Guy, Say Police

October 20 – A man wanted for the theft of a Bluetooth speaker from the Source on MapleView Drive in Barrie, and credit card fraud at Mac’s Convenience Store on Dunlop Street West has been arrested. OPP made the arrest in Angus and transferred the suspect to Barrie Police. He’s been charged with Fraud and Theft Under $5,000, Fraudulent Use of Credit Card, Fail to Appear and three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation.

September 2 – Barrie Police say a mini crime spree was all caught on camera. Officers claim the same guy stole a bluetooth speaker from an electronics shop and a wallet from a convenience store. Around 6:30 Wednesday, a man allegedly walked into The Source on Mapleview Drive, and sneaked a bluetooth speaker into his backpack before getting away unnoticed. Who knew an electronics store would have video cameras installed? Police think the same man used a debit card stolen from a parked car to pick up a prepaid Visa and some cigarettes. The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • white
  • Brown hair, receding hair-line
  • 5’10 – 6’0”
  • 35-40 yrs.
  • Wearing a white V-neck t-shirt
