Barrie Man Up On Charges After Incident At Midland Motel
Man Accused Of Pointing Gun, Making Death Threats
A Barrie man is facing weapons charges after an altercation at a Midland motel. The Midland Police Service was contacted after the fact, by a woman who says a man pointed a gun at her on November 19th. It is alleged to have happened in a motel room on the west side of town. She was able to escape, and reported the incident a week later, after allegedly receiving threatening messages from the suspect. When police tracked down the suspect vehicle, they say an amount of cocaine was seized. A 33-year-old Barrie man has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Death Threats, and Drug Possession.
