Barrie: No Place For Millenials

Survey looks at millennial hot spots in Canada

Barrie is apparently not a place for the young at heart. At least not according to a Point2 Homes survey of the Top Millenial Hot Spots in Canada. Barrie is 30th on the list of 85 cities, which took into account unemployment rate, life satisfaction, low crime rate, healthcare, climate, level of education (the percentage of the population with a bachelor’s degree or above) and the percentage of millennials of the total population. Quebec City topped the rankings. None of Canada’s largest cities, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa or Calgary, made the top three (Toronto was 24th). Seven of the top 10 best cities have a population of under 500,000.
