Barrie OPP Cleared Following Oro Medonte Death

The Special Investigations Unit has cleared several Barrie OPP officers of wrongdoing after visiting a man who was later found dead. Police went to see a 59-year-old Oro Medonte man the evening of April 6th, who was given the option of either going to the station with officers at the time, or turning himself in the next morning. He chose the latter. The man was found deceased the next day.
