UPDATE: Body Of Missing Boater Pulled From Water Near Meaford
Overturned Boat Found in Meaford Harbour
OPP have recovered the body of a missing boater off Meaford. A dinghy was found Thursday night, overturned in Meaford Harbour. The body of 26 year old Gary David Robertson of New Lowell was found early Friday afternoon in the harbour off Bayfield Street. Police say he was not wearing a life jacket.

A search is expected to resume today, for a man believed to have fallen into the waters off Meaford. A 20-something man was seen lounging in a 7-foot dinghy last evening, when witnesses report hearing a loud splash around 9:30, later finding the dinghy abandoned and overturned. The Coast Guard, OPP, and Meaford Fire are expected to be back on scene to continue their search today.
