Coldest Night Of The Year Orillia

Kool FM is proud to sponsor the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk, set to take place on February 24th. This family-friendly event supports The Lighthouse—a crucial community resource providing emergency shelter services for men, women, and youth. Alongside shelter services, they run an outreach program, operate a warming center, provide meal programs, supportive housing, and deliver medical and mental health support to enhance overall well-being and help individuals attain their housing goals.
To get involved, assemble your team, sign up online, and choose between a 2k or 5k walk through downtown Orillia. The event begins at 4 pm on February 24th. For more information or to register, please visit CNOY.org/orillia!
Schedule
- 4:00 pm: Meet Check-in + Welcome
- 5:00 pm: Move Send-off
- 6:00 pm: Munch Light meal served
- 7:00 pm: Mosey Goodbye + see you in 2025!
What to Bring
A few common sense suggestions:
- A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
- Good waterproof shoes/boots for walking
- Warm coat and mitts/gloves
- Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
- Your own water bottle
- A passion for the charity you’re walking and fundraising for!
