Cutting Sugar Intake Versus Cutting Calories

Study shows almost immediate results

Counting calories is important for good health, but so might be counting grams of sugar. University of California researchers conducted a nine-day study with test subjects monitoring their sugar intake. They found those who cut back had lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels than those who didn’t. Again, in just nine days. Health professionals have advised patients for years to lose weight through improved diet and exercise. This research suggests results might be achieved more quickly if they target their sugar consumption in particular.
