Penalties for driving while under the influence of drugs just got a whole lot stiffer. Starting today, motorists caught driving DRUG IMPAIRED will face a 180 dollar penalty and an immediate 3 day license suspension for the first time. A second occurrence will will see your license suspended for a week while a third time will get you a month. There is also the possibility of an ignition interlock on your vehicle and jail time.
