First Official Look At Brie Larson In ‘Captain Marvel’ Costume

Captain Marvel Hits Theaters March 9th

Set photos from Disney’s Captain Marvel that hit the internet earlier this year offered a look at star Brie Larson in a green suit, which led to much speculation over how far the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film would stray away from source material. Rest easy, Carol Danvers fans… we’ve been served a look at Larson in the red and blue suit.

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a bevy of official photos from the production that feature Larson in her Captain Marvel garb, as well as a look at the villainous Skrulls and a youthful looking Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The upcoming Captain Marvel film will rewrite some of Danvers/Captain Marvel’s origin story, and it takes place in the 90s, which explains why Jackson’s Fury character is not wearing an eye patch and looking 20 years younger.

Larson will grace the cover of the magazine in costume, which you can preview below.

Captain Marvel is set up to play an important role in next spring’s yet-to-be-title fourth Avengersfilm. Earth’s Mightiest Hero was referenced in the post-credits scene at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

Captain Marvel hits theatres on March 9, 2019.
