Fraudsters Out To Get Your Money

Victim Comes Forward

Another scam to tell you about. Police in Parry Sound say a woman responded to a lottery notice on her Facebook account. The notice indicated that she had won almost 100-thousand dollars and in order to collect the money she was to send 34-hundred to an address in India. Prior to sending her winnings the suspect requested more money before the prize would be released. This is when the victim went to police.  OPP say the lottery scam may present itself differently but the goal of the scammer is always the same…to get your money.
