Gravenhurst Approves $5.14mil Capital Budget

Budget comes with 5% increase to property tax bill

Gravenhurst Council has given the okay to the 2016 Capital Budget. It comes with a five per cent increase to residents’ property tax bill, which boils down to about an extra $44 a year on a home valued at $220,000. The $5.14 million budget will pay for the usual suspects such as existing town facilities, roads, bridges and parks. Money will also go towards repaying the money taken out of Gravenhurst’s Community Reinvestment Fund previously.
