Hit n Run Behind Barrie’s South-End Wal Mart
Two workers hurt
Barrie Police are looking for the driver of a dark-coloured car – might be a Dodge Neon – after two people were struck in the laneway behind Wal Mart on Mapleview Drive. The pair was raking and blowing leaves when the vehicle approached. They say the driver made no attempt to slow down or drive around pylons that had been set up to protect the workers. One had his foot run over as he tried to jump out of the way; the other, wearing ear protectors, didn’t see or hear the car coming and was struck from the side hitting the hood and windshield of the car. he suffered serious injuries. Plate number on the vehicle may include the letters BNYN, and it likely has damage to the passenger side hood and windshield.
