Huntsville Man Charged After Dog left In Hot Car

Eight calls for help in Barrie at the weekend

We get some relief today from the heat and humidity, but it took OPP officers breaking into a car on Main Street in Huntsville to bring relief to a Husky at the weekend. The outside temperature was 30 celsius. Police say just one window of the vehicle was open a crack. They took the dog to a nearby store for water and cooling down. A 27 year old Huntsville man has been charged with Cause Damage or Injury to an Animal. Barrie Police say they were called to eight instances of dogs left in hot cars at the weekend.
