Police Followed Candy Wrapper Trail To Suspect

He didn’t exactly get caught with his hand in the cookie jar, but it was close. Barrie Police telling us today a fella pushed a convenience store clerk out of the way after grabbing handfuls of candy at a Dunlop and Mulcaster store around 3:00 yesterday morning. Barrie Police showed up and say all they had to do to catch their suspect is follow the trail of candy wrappers. Officers claim they trailed a suspect to a nearby park where they say a 30-year-old man was found, drunk, passed out, and surrounded by candy wrappers. He’s been charged with Theft, Assault, and Public Drunkenness.
