Keeping Kids Safe ‘On The Buses’
Focus this week on school bus safety
It is School Bus Safety Week. The Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium asking all drivers to be extra cautious around school buses – be it on the road or in loading and unloading zones. It will also be holding school bus evacuation training sessions this week for students, to learn how to evacuate a school bus safely in an emergency situation. More than 25,000 students in Simcoe County participated in the training last year. Wednesday is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day.
