The 2nd Annual Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament is on today at Holly Rec Centre in Barrie. Former NHL’ers and Olympians are on ice supporting the David Busby Street Centre and Redwood Park Communities.

The Friday Night Light it Up Railjam is at Blue Mountain tonight. A grassroots rail jam open to skiers and snowboarders. And it’s the last day of Coors Light Women’s Week at Blue with specialty day and night lift ticket rates.

The Toronto International Bicycle Show launches today. It’s the world’s largest bicycle consumer show running all weekend from the Better Living Centre at Liberty Village.

Our Barrie Colts are down to 9 games until OHL Playoffs, tonight they’re on the road in Niagara before Owen Sound visits Barrie Molson Centre tomorrow night.

8th Annual Ladies Day on the slopes of Snow Valley.

It’s Fischer Loppet Day at Hardwood Ski & Bike. Featuring free Fischer ski demos, prizes and all kinds of trail competition from Nordikids – half, 2.5 and 5km cc ski to 15 and 30km trail skating and classic ski 15 and 30km. The trails will provide a big time work out for participants.

Because of the unsafe conditions the Perchin for MS Ice Fishing Tournament out of Sibbald Provincial Park is going straight to a draw that will happen today.

The Annual Bradford Greenhouses Spring & Garden Home Show launches today and continues tomorrow. Home renos to landscaping and interior design all under one roof.

More than 80 dog sled teams from across N.A. have arrived at Pinestone Resort for the Haliburton Highlands Dog Sled Derby, featuring 4 dog, 6 dog and 8 dog races. Purebred and Alaskan dog teams a youth race. Races running all day today and tomorrow.

The Milky Way Intergalagtic Fatbike Champs events is at Hardwood Ski & Bike with riders challenging the trails at lengths of 15 and 30km runs.

It’s the last game of the regular season for the Barrie Blizzard. Hosting the Durham Turfdogs at BMC, lacrossse action starts at 2pm.
