Men Read Hate Tweets Sent To Female Sports Journalists

For some, it might be hard to remember there’s a person on the other end of that twitter handle, including those in the public eye. Few things illustrate this better than a new video making the rounds online, created by folks at the podcast Just Not Sports. In the video, regular guys are asked to read mean tweets addressed to Sports Illustrated reporter Julie DiCaro and ESPNW’s Sarah Spain, much like the Jimmy Kimmel sketch Mean Tweets. Unlike Mean Tweets, few of these tweets can be laughed off. The men reading the tweets are not the ones who wrote them, but they’re visibly affected all the same.
