Missing Japanese Boy Found

Left at side of road six days ago as 'punishment'

Yamato Tanooka is in good health. This is the seven year old boy who had been left near a bear-infested forest in northern Japan as punishment. His parents left him there six days ago as punishment for throwing stones at passing cars. The boy was found at a military base, which was a fair hike through the forest and hilly territory. He was dehydrated with minor scratches to his arms and feet, but otherwise fine. Police are considering charges against his parents.
