FENCE VANDALIZED AGAIN

Southern Georgian Bay OPP say someone set fire to a controversial fence on private property at Balm Beach.  The incident happened early Thursday morning.  A couple of weeks ago an angry mob protesting public access to the beach tore a chunk of the fence down.  Thursdays incident prompted OPP Detachment Commander Rick Philbin to issue a public statement, he said this sort of behavior will not be tolerated and called those responsible for the incident hooligans.  He urged the parties to settle their differences in court.  Later in the day Police had to return to the scene as the 63 year old owner of the fence and his 42 year old son ended up in an altercation with someone on the beach.  Both were charged with assault.
