SO SAD

Monday, March 01, 2010

Marie Osmond's son Michael Blosil took his own life Friday night after leaping to his death from his Los Angeles apartment, E! News confirms.

The 18-year-old reportedly suffered from severe depression in recent years, leaving behind a note which detailed his plans to commit suicide. In it, Blosil explained his loneliness, stating that he felt as if he had no friends and simply did not fit in.

Osmond expressed her grief over the tragedy in a statement released Saturday evening: "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."

THE LOVE CONTINUES TO DIE

When he finally returns to the PGA Tour, don't look for any Gatorade in Tiger Woods' Nike bag.

A day after the athletic wear company repledged its undying love for the apologetic golf star, PepsiCo-owned Gatorade announced that it was dropping its endorsement of Woods.

"We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship," said a spokeswoman for the beverage maker, which discontinued its Gatorade Tiger Focus energy drink in December. "We wish him all the best."

JUMPIN' FROM WOMAN TO WOMAN

A-Rod has dumped his girlfriend of two seconds, Elaine Spottswood, for being "too clingy"!

Déjà vu!

Friends close to the male ho say he and Elaine would spend time together at the gym every day, but told buds Elaine was getting too close, so, of course, "he had to end it with her."

WE STILL DON'T KNOW!

The inspiration behind You're So Vain is still a mystery!

Upon hearing the entire world had "figured out" that the 1971 hit was about label boss David Geffen, Carly Simon couldn't keep quiet!

"What a riot! Nothing to do with David Geffen! What a funny mistake! Someone got a clue mistaken for another mistake!" says Carly.

Damn!

Do we have to wait another 30 years to guess again??

NICE PICK!

NBC has decided to cast actor Dermot Mulroney as Jim Rockford in the upcoming remake of The Rockford Files!

The original series starred James Garner and ran on NBC from September of 1974 until January of 1980.

Surprisingly, this will be Mulroney's first go at the small screen!

Gotta make the $$$$$$ somehow!

GIRL'S GOTTA WORK

And we know she's do anything for work!

Legendary funnywoman Joan Rivers will join TV Land's second season of How'd You Get So Rich?, a show detailing several rags-to-riches stories.

The six episode stint will air in May 5th.

Will U be watching?!
