The Orillia Fire Department, OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office after an early morning fire destroyed a home on Albert Street South. No one was hurt; one occupant of the home was alerted by passersby who helped her escape. Damage is estimated at more than $400,000.

A fire in Orillia has reportedly destroyed a home on Albert Street. Emergency crews got the call after midnight this morning, arriving to find the structure fully engulfed. No injuries reported, no word on what caused the fire either, or damage estimate.
