UPDATE: Orillia Sexual Assault Victim Let The Suspect In

Police release composite sketch of suspect

April 2 – OPP now have a composite sketch of the suspect in a sexual assault last Tuesday in Orillia. A woman was attacked after a man knocked on her door and said he needed to inspect her furnace and she let him in. No appointment had been made for the inspection. Police reminding everyone to always use caution when someone comes knocking. March 31 – Police are reminding everyone to be vigilant, after a woman claims she was sexually assaulted at her home. The OPP say she let the suspect into her house on Tuesday, under the premise that work needed to be done at her home, police saying he wanted to inspect her furnace. The Orillia OPP is releasing the following description of the suspect in this investigation:

  • Male
  • Light brown skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes
  • 5’7″ – 5’9″ tall
  • Thin build
  • Clean shaved

Provincial police suggest checking for identification to verify who the person is, and never let people into your home unless you arranged the appointment yourself.
