Patrick Brown Will Not Be A Candidate In The Coming Provincial Election

He said so on Twitter; the Tories said so in an email

They said he could run for the party leadership, but the Provincial Tories said last night Patrick Brown is ineligible to run as a candidate in Barrie-Springwater-OroMedonte. About the same as we received that email from the party Brown had sent a note out on Twitter saying “After much thought, I will not be running in the upcoming provincial election.” He also thanked the people of Barrie and Simcoe County for their “unwavering support over the last 17 years.” He also said he remains committed to the Conservative movement and the well-being of this community. There has been chatter the Tories will parachute a candidate into the riding. As of this morning, there is just one official candidate in the riding – Keenan Aylwin of the Green Party.
