Priscilla Presley Says Elvis Never Saw Her Without Makeup
What it was like to be married to the King.
In a recent interview with a British chat show, Loose Women, Priscilla Presley opened up about her 6-year marriage with the King:
“Some can’t have the truth. I always had a little bit of makeup. He never wanted to see me getting dressed, he wanted to see the end result.”
She went on to explain that her life with Elvis was like living in a bubble. Since they met when she was 14 and he was 24, she didn’t have her teenage years as a normal girl. She lived his life and felt like she lost herself. He even had complete control over her wardrobe.
“I did not divorce him because I didn’t love him. He was the love of my life, but I had to find out about the world.”
