UPDATE: Chocolate Milk Recall Expanded

Possible Listeria contamination

Monday – A recall of Neilson’s chocolate milk has been expanded to include 2-litre and 1 litre cartons, and the 750 ml, 473 ml, and 237 ml sizes (four-litre bags had already been recalled).  All had Best Before dates up to and including June 22. Affected products should be thrown out or returned to the store they were bought from.

Saturday – Four-litre bags of Neilson’s Chocolate Milk with a best before date of June 1, 2016 have been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. This is is due to possible Listeria contamination. Several reported illnesses may be linked to the milk. Further testing is underway. Food contaminated with listeria can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness.
