A Baker's Dozen of Distracted Driving Charges Laid

A South Simcoe Police Distracted Driving blitz ended with some encouraging results. Police say over six days leading up to Halloween, they only laid 13 Distracted Driving charges, with the new higher $400 penalty attached. Ninety-six drivers were hit with speeding tickets on the week, and several seat belt infractions were written up. In total, 148 drivers were charged during the week-long campaign.
