Talent Abounds at PF’s Coffee House!

by Emily Fallows, Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School

On Thursday, November 23, Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School (PF) in Orillia held its first Coffee House of the year. The cafeteria was filled with students from all grades, as everyone sipped tea and coffee, munched cookies and listened to the wonderful music PF students created. Student Council planned the event, set up the lights, a popcorn machine, and a snack area for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies. Students sang and some played guitar, and Isaac M. from student council was a terrific emcee, telling jokes throughout the night. Student Edan M. said, “for the first coffee house of the year we had a really good turn out especially from our junior students which is always good to see. Hopefully, they pass on the message of how great the night was throughout the school”.  Student Scotlyne J. added, “We are sticking with the cafeteria for our venue to keep it a very low-key, open and comfortable environment for the performers”.

Just one of many talented musicians performing at PF’s first coffee house of the school year.
Acts included: Victoria F., Dawson H., Lily O., Jade S. , Ellise S., Sam and Noah D., Cass D., Christian S., Demetrius M., Maya T., Olivia M., and Dee Dee P.
