Tay Township Explaining Budget

With a few municipalities of late giving approval to annual budgets, it might make you wonder what goes into these things. Tay Township has written up a Budget Overview for residents to check out, and breaks down where tax dollars go. It may not be the most stimulating read for some, but it is much easier to read than the actual budget, and details how Tay plans to put money down on such things as a new tanker truck for Fire Hall 1, or improvements to the Tay Shore Trail. Have a look at the overview here, and you’ve got plenty of time to pour over it; Tay Council’s final budget meeting isn’t until early April.
