Tentative Teachers Union Deal Reached

Education Minister Says Proposed Agreement Would End Job Action

A tentative deal has been struck between the province and an education support workers union. A statement released by Education Minister Liz Sandals today says they’ve got something in the works, and CUPE has agreed to end job action at affected public schools until the deal is ratified. No word yet on what this tentative agreement contains. With a CUPE deal reached, the province is now waiting for a deal to be struck with the Elementary Teacher’s Federation of Ontario.
