The Duffer Brothers Are Being Sued Over Stranger Things

Stranger Things have happened!

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have been sued by a filmmaker who has accused them of stealing his ideas to create the hit show.

Charlie Kessler claims the premise for the cult Netflix show came from the short film, Montauk, which he produced in 2012.

The movie, which centred upon secret government experiments, won an award at the Hamptons International Film Festival. According to reports, Kessler wanted to turn the short into a TV series and did pitch the idea to the Duffer Brothers in 2014! Duffer brothers didn’t however like Kessler’s idea and turned him down…
