Threat Of Postal Disruption Looming Large Again
Negotiations at stalemate
Canada Post is advising its customers to prepare for 72-hour strike notice from the postal workers union between now and Sunday. That’s when the union’s current strike mandate expires. Nine months of talks between the two have achieved little, if anything. The Canadian Union Of Postal Workers said Wednesday it felt Canada Post is trying to run down the clock on the union’s strike mandate of August 25th, after which, it could unilaterally impose changes.
