WasagaDome

WasagaDome is a new, undeniably high-profile entertainment venue on the beautiful shores of Wasaga Beach, the longest freshwater beach in the world. This striking building can be seen from across Georgian Bay. WasagaDome has room for 1000 spectators. It houses sound and lighting equipment for comedy, theatre, music and circus performances.

WasagaDome is a geodesic structure comprised of circles and triangles - think of a giant, 4-storey half-soccer ball.  Only eight other event domes of this size exist in the world.  Popularized by Buckminster Fuller in the 1940s and 1950s, a geodesic dome is the most efficient way to create a spherical structure. A geodesic dome has the best surface to volume ratio of any structure, meaning no tent poles or internal beams to obscure your view of the show!
