You Can Request a Canadian Flag From Parliament Hill
The waiting list is very long...
Five flags fly on Ottawa’s Parliament Hill:
- Over the Peace Tower
- On each side of the Centre Block
- One over the West Block
- One over the East Block
Each business day these flags are taken down and sent to Canadians who applied to be on the waiting list.
The Peace Tower’s flag is the most requested, it has a wait time of 73 years. You only have to wait 60 years for any of the other Parliament Hill flags.
