1,500 Drunk Americans Accidentally Invaded Canada This Weekend
Winds Brought 1,500 Americans on Floaties from Michigan to Sarnia
Thousands participated in the annual Port Huron Float Down this weekend, only nature had other plans.
With high winds on St. Clair River, 1,500 Americans drifted into Canadian waters, ending up in Sarnia. With the help of city police, OPP, Paramedics, Coast Guard & RCMP, they were able to arrange for busses and get the party-goers back to the county where they belong!

With a fast-moving current and no one equipped with life jackets or paddles, it was a happy ending to what could have otherwise been deadly. Of course, the Twitter-verse responded with a few wise cracks:

1,500 Americans end up in Canada when winds push their boats there. Not first of the anti-Trump immigration wave!https://t.co/De1Z6bY3Ed — Matthew Fisher (@mfisheroverseas) August 22, 2016
