All this snow means there’s tons of skiing, tobogganing and all sorts of outdoor fun to be had over the Christmas break. But if you’re looking for a little change of pace, here are a few suggestions of things to do to keep the kids busy over the next few days.
The Toronto Zoo is open 365 days a year, with special events planned throughout the holidays. Meet the new White Lion cubs (whether permitting) and the new Giant Panda cubs!
Tubing at Horseshoe
In addition to having a run open, Horseshoe offers a ton of fun winter activities including snow tubing. They are open Christmas Eve and Boxing Day, and you can either pay $4.50 for a single ride or $24 for a day pass.
Ontario Science Centre (Toronto)
You don’t have to love science to have an unforgettable time at the Ontario Science Centre! It’s fun and interactive and there are always tons of cool events and exhibitions happening. The best part is it’s not just for kids- there are plenty of activities adults will enjoy too!
Legoland Discovery Centre (Vaughn Mills)
If your kids love Lego, a day of fun awaits at Legoland, located at Hwy 400 and Bass Pro Drive. In addition to tons of play areas Legoland features a 4D cinema and a laser quest ride. Ticket prices start at $17.50.
Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada (Toronto)
Located in Toronto, Toronto Ripley’s Aquarium has quickly become one of the city’s hottest attractions. We suggest going at night, for a cheaper-priced entry and to avoid crowds.
