Conservative Hopeful Plans to Re-Criminalize Marijuana

Legalized pot in Canada could be a short-lived high. Simcoe-Grey MP and Conservative leadership hopeful, Kellie Leitch, says if she wins the leadership and is elected prime Minister she would re-criminalize marijuana. However, she would also make it available in drug stores to those who need it for medicinal purposes.


Cuts at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial


Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital will be cut 16 beds and the equivalent of 35 jobs to meet budget constraints. It needed to find $9.5M in savings or additional revenue to maintain a balanced budget. Read more here.

Noah’s Ark Ready to Set Sail

The replica of the biblical boat has five floors and can hold more than 5000 people. A Dutch carpenter started building it after dreaming about an intense storm flooding his hometown. A group known as Ark of Noah hopes to sail it from Holland to Brazil before the end of the year.
