Abandoned House Fire Under Investigation

Police and the Fire Marshall are on scene at an abandoned home after it was damaged in an early morning fire. Just before 3:00 this morning, emergency crews were called to a structure fire on Essa near Mapleton, and while there were no injuries reported, police say the entire home was severely damaged. They add the structure has sat vacant for several years. Anyone who could shed light on this fire is asked to call Barrie Police or Crimestoppers.
