Alliston High School Blaze Latest In String Of Fires
Seven Area Fires in Six Weeks
A fire at an Alliston high school is just the latest in a string of fires around New Tecumseth over the past six weeks. Emergency crews got the call to Banting Memorial around 12:30 this morning, with reports of a fire at the rear of the building. It was taken care of in short order, but witnesses say at least three people were seen in the area when the flames started. Nottawasaga OPP say they’ve been called to seven fires in the last six weeks, but stopped short of saying there’s a connection to them all.
