Always Hope For A High School Dropout

Aussie Teen Running Own Tech Company

He is 16, a high school dropout, and CEO of a tech company that could be worth millions. Meet Ben Pasternak from Sydney Australia. He has developed the Flogg app, which allows users to buy and sell within their social network. He was making YouTube videos at age 11. When he was 15, he and a friend had the number 1 gaming app in Australia with ‘Impossible Rush’ (it was number 4 in the USA, beating out Tinder and Vine). He has since moved to New York City and runs the business from his living room. His parents, both university educated, were disappointed at first, but can’t argue with his success. Paternak, himself, sometimes wonders why he can’t just be a normal kid, but he says it’s been fun…no regrets.
