Amy Schumer Is Getting A Lot Of Backlash For Her New Movie “I Feel Pretty”

Amy Schumer’s new movie “I feel pretty” is set for release this weekend but not without coming under attack from feminists who claim the new movie promotes a negative body image stereotype in the trailer.

In the new flick, Amy plays a character with low self-esteem who one day bumps her head and than thinks she’s a super model…Amy has now responded to the negative press, insisting that people are missing the point on the comedy. Amy told the Vulture in part;

“But first off, it’s not about an ugly troll becoming beautiful; it’s about a woman who has low self-esteem finding some. Everyone’s got a right to feel that feeling, regardless of their appearance.  We all struggle with self-esteem. I certainly have.”
