Another Scam

Don't Open E-mails You Don't Recognize

Police are warning residents of yet another scam. This latest comes through your email and states that the sender is connected to the latest bombings throughout the world and that they have been hired to have the recipient killed. The email requests that once opened, money be sent. OPP, say although ALL threats should be taken seriously, police believe this is a scam being used to extort money through fear. Residents are reminded not to open any emails from people you don’t know and make sure you have some type of anti-virus spy-ware installed on your computer. Fraud attempts can be reported to your local police or the Canadian Anti Fraud Center at 888-495-8501
