Arrest Made After Downtown Barrie Bank Robbery

One Person In Custody

Talk about right place, right time. Barrie Police say a man armed with a knife went into the Bank of Montreal at Mulcaster and Collier Streets around 2:00 this afternoon, and demanded money. Officers on foot patrol in the downtown core just happened to walk in at the same time, and the suspect fled without any cash. He was located not far away however, and now a 32-year-old man faces several charges including Robbery and Weapons Dangerous.
