Arrest Made Following Barrie Shooting

30-year-old Expected In Court

A Barrie man has been charged after a shooting Friday night. Police were called around 10:30 to a Sanford St. home with reports a 44-year-old man was shot in the arm after an altercation with a group of unexpected guests. He was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries, while police got to task tracking a suspect. They say today a 30-year-old man has been charged with Robbery using a Firearm and was expected in court today. The investigation is ongoing and police are still the seeking the three men that had accompanied the accused the night of the incident. The outstanding suspects are described as:

Suspect # 1

  • Male, brown (24yrs.)
  • Believed to be South Asian
  • Medium build, 5’9
  • Wearing a red Chicago Bulls hat, white Adidas shoes and carrying a handgun

Suspect #2

  • Male, brown (27-28 yrs.)
  • Dark beard with sideburns
  • Believed to be South Asian
  • 5’3″, 175 lbs.
  • Wearing jeans and a blue sweater

Suspect #3

  • Male, brown (27-28 yrs.)
  • Believed to South Asian
  • Stocky build, 5’11”, 180lbs.
  • Wearing a baseball hat, a blue, white and orange horizontal striped Ralph Lauren polo shirt, blue jeans and carrying a handgun
