Art Holds Healing Powers

The Simplest Benefit Can Be Forgetting That You Are Sick, Even For Just A Moment.

In an effort to reduce stress, anxiety over care and just making a visit to the hospital a better experience Royal Victoria Regional Health Center and art students from Innisdale Secondary School have formed an unlikely partnership. Janice Skot, the President and CEO of RVH, says having beautiful things to look at while you are undergoing medical treatments has definite benefits. The exhibit, entitled “From The Ground Up”, features art, a sculpture, music and dance. It will be featured at the hospital through December. The Permanent display is always available to view. You don’t have to be a patient to enjoy the art either. The public is welcome.
