Barrie City Hall Evacuated Over Smoke Smell

A Hot-Under-The-Collar PC to Blame

The folks over at Barrie City Hall found out today, where there’s smoke, there isn’t necessarily fire, but it’s a good idea to call the pros anyway. Barrie Fire Service got the call to 70 Collier St., with reports of smoke smell at City Hall. Eight trucks were on scene to help everyone evacuate safely and look for the source of the smoke. Turns out, some computer equipment overheated, causing the smell. Fire Service members stayed on scene long enough to help ventilate the building.
