Barrie Introduces One Time Registration Fee For Pets

Fifty Bucks Gets Your Pet Registered With the City For Life

You only have to pay one fee to register your pet with Barrie City Hall. They’ve done away with yearly pet licence fees and opted for a one-time registration fee instead. It will likely make City Hall staff’s lives easier, as the old system carried a different fee for different pets, and other fees if they were neutered. Now, dogs and cats cost $50 each for a New Pet Registration Fee, but it’s half that if you’ve already shelled out for a pet licence this year. Those who register their pet by the end of January are entered into a draw for a chance to win a $100 gift card from the city.
